Vice President VACANT Report:
No Report.
Secretary Jerry Grigsby’s Report:
I wished everyone a Happy New Year. I would like to know which board member is willing to run luncheon event. Board Michelle Hughes volunteered. I asked if anyone can give me a list of free lance interpreters. Reason for asking is to negotiate a good price to interpret our possible upcoming tours that SFCD plans to host. I would like to ask President to set up a task force to prepare for mortgage that is due this august 2009. Board agreed to the following to be on mortgage task force – Buddy Singleton chair, Board Jaime Jackerson and Stan Smith. I would like to have Retreat last week of February. Are there any more corrections to newsletter? I waited too long for other organizations to send in news article. I will go ahead and mail them out next week.
Treasurer Richard Bonheyo’s Report:
He had a meeting with our Merrill Lynch agent, Hlibrok. Hlibrok warned us to be more conservative due to the economy situation. Hlibrok also warned that economy may not go up for awhile. After receiving January statement, he will complete 2008 budget. He will work with trustee to determine amount of budget for 2009. He submitted October statement for review and approve today. Buddy moved that the financial report be approved. He let us know David Bullock, our CPA, will assign tax filings to someone in his office. Treasurer Bonheyo said his computer hard drive had crashed and lost some data. He will reload SFCD’s data by using the club’s checkbook.
Trustee’s Report:
Trustee Singleton gave the following report: We know we were supposed to elect trustee last November. Stan Smith has indicated that he would like to continue to serve as trustee term 2009-2011. The Board approved Smith to be Trustee. Trustee will work with Treasurer Bonheyo to determine budget for the year 2009. Trustee will email us the budget. Trustee would like the board to continue to pay for DCC room usage and host two parties for members of SFCD only in the year 2009.
